We’re Active

Pack 628 is dedicated to a lively Cub Scout experience with activities that capture the interest of boys yet are fun for the entire family, including siblings. Our Cub Scouts learn essential skills and enjoyment of outdoor activities, community involvement, personal safety, sports, and the environment.

Campouts - On family overnight outings twice a year, boys learn camping, cooking, knot tying and environmental skills.

Pinewood Derby - Cubs build and decorate 7” pinewood cars and race them down a 25-foot ramp, a classic event that’s fun for all.

Rain Gutter Regatta – Cubs build, decorate and race sailboats in a 10 foot rain gutter.

Space Derby – Cubs build, decorate and launch real model rockets!

Community Service – Each fall, the pack helps with Food For Scouting and donates food they collect to local food banks.

Blue and Gold Banquet – Each February we hold our Blue and Gold Banquet in honor of the founder of Boy Scouting, Baden Powell. We also acknowledge each of the boy’s achievements with a special award ceremony, especially Webelos bridging over to Boy Scouts.

Cub Scout Day Camp – Boys participated in a fully planned program including games, hiking, crafts, swimming, and making close friends.

Summer Activities – We do numerous summer activities.
